| The purpose of this gallery is to provide insight for new collectors on how buttons fit in the National Button Society classification system. The examples shown are from Peach State member collections and from other National Button Society members who have collaborated in this educational effort. Each thumbnail below is labeled by NBS class and class number in parentheses. Clicking on the thumbnail will take you to examples of buttons in that class as defined in the 2011 - 2012 NBS Classification and Competition Guidelines (Blue Book). A project to enhance each class section is currently underway with the goal to show at least one example for each type of button discussed in the Blue Book including the backs of the buttons. Sections that have completed the enhancement project are shown with yellow highlighted labels. Additions to improve the representation are always welcome. |
